Limestone from the hills
Limestone laid down in beds at the bottom of an ancient sea. Pale, with honey-coloured patches where iron found its way into the stone.

Flags
Each bed is split by hand along its natural plane. The flags are 2 to 5 cm thick and no two are alike.

Pallets
We sort the flags by tone and size and stack them on pallets of about 12 m². The crane lorry sets them down where the mason needs them.

Limestone changes colour from one bed to the next. These are the varieties we quarry today.
Serra DouradaGolden limestone with orange and honey patches. The stone of warm walls, changing tone with the sun.
Serra MelLight cream with golden veins and patches. The most requested for garden walls and paving.
Serra RosadaCream stone with pink and grey tones. Quiet, and at home on the walls of contemporary houses.
Serra BrancaBright greyish white. The stone of white Portuguese pavement, doorsteps and pale walls.
Serra AzuladaBluish grey, dense and hard-wearing. Much used for paving slabs, steps and wall copings.
Serra NegraDark limestone for the patterns of Portuguese pavement and for contrast in outdoor paving.
